About
Texas Equity Group (TEG) is a student-run undergraduate investment group at the University of Texas at Austin that manages a real money portfolio. Founded in 2007, TEG serves to teach students the significant applications of finance in the workplace. TEG members learn the basics of finance and investing strategies through current market analyses, stock pitches, and management of our investment portfolio. Our small, collaborative culture allows for members to connect with one another, as well as with alumni who are paving their own way in the finance industry.
Mission Statement
TEG is an investment club focused on building the next generation of leaders in finance. TEG achieves this through rigorous investment education and consistent stock pitches paired with strong relationships throughout the organization.

Andrew Askew | Stonelake Capital
Andrew is involved with the Beta Upsilon Chi fraternity and YoungLife. In his free time he enjoys lifting heavy weights, volunteering, eating delicious Austin food, and playing the piano.
Matthew Fan | IMC Trading
Matthew is involved with Texas Consulting and his fraternity Delta Tau Delta. In his free time, you will find him exploring food trucks and hitting chest at Greg. He also enjoys playing golf, Spikeball, swimming, and winning at Poker.
Lilly Jarlsjo | U.S. Department of State
Lilly is a copy editor for the Daily Texan. She loves planning new travel adventures, going to concerts, photography, and her cats. Jarlsjo is Swedish, and its pronunciation makes even less sense than its spelling.
Ryan Karkowsky
Ryan is involved in his fraternity, Texas Zeta Beta Tau. Some of his interests include backpacking, photography, golf, behavioral economics, and traveling. He loves watching sitcom TV shows and eating Tex-Mex food.
Blake Margolis | Evercore
Blake is involved with the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. He enjoys fantasy football, pick-up basketball, and backgammon.
Blake Molthan | Solomon Partners
Blake is a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. In his free time, he enjoys watching Formula 1, skiing, riding roller coasters, and eating huevos rancheros.
Quentin Moon | Cain Brothers
Quentin is involved in his fraternity, Delta Tau Delta. In his free time, he enjoys playing pickup basketball, golf, and casual chess. He also loves traveling, classic rock, and meeting new people. Last summer, Quentin interned at Cypress Creek Partners, a fund-of-funds based in Austin, Texas.
Shalini Parepally | Microsoft
Shalini is involved with Texas Spirits, Texas CYC and the Undergraduate Business Council. In her free time, she loves to explore Austin's coffee shops, go paddle boarding on lady bird lake and take long naps. She also enjoys traveling to new countries, going scuba diving with her sister and spending quality time with her family and friends!
Georgia Posey | Morgan Stanley
Georgia is a member of Texas Tridelta sorority and a Consultant Analyst for UFA. Her free time is spent hiking, playing pickleball, reading, and trying new restaurants with her friends. Most summers you can find her somewhere in Europe.
Suzy Telle | Goldman Sachs
Suzy is a member of Texas Pi Phi sorority. She is also involved with Texas RUF and the Zavala After School Program volunteer group. She really enjoys long walks with friends, going to SoulCycle, and hanging out with her family and dog in her free time.
John Trahan | Greenhill & Co.
John is involved in Texas Fiji. Some of his interests include freestyle skiing, traveling, and game theory. He loves dystopian movies and beating Q in pickleball.

Jude is a member of Texas Fiji. He loves freestyle skiing, biking, and all things Moutain West.

Eugenia is a member of the Texas Tridelta sorority and is involved in the Women in Business Association. In her free time, she enjoys finding unique coffee shops, exploring different music genres, going to Solidcore, and long walks with her friends.
Carson Cohen | Morgan Stanley
Carson's a proud member of the Texas Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer and supporting Crystal Palace FC in the premier league, listening to country music, avoiding the kitchen on the pickleball court, and writing code.
Mateo Creixell | Evercore
Mateo is involved with his fraternity, Delta Tau Delta. He enjoys watching football and soccer, watching movies, playing tennis, and hanging out with his friends.
Kennedy Foy | Rothschild & Co.
Kennedy is a new member of Texas Pi Phi sorority. She is also involved with Texas RUF and the Women In Business Association. She enjoys trying new restaurants with friends, going to yoga, and hanging out with her family and two dogs in her free time.
Sebastian Grannen
Sebastian is a former wrestler turned summer camp counselor and a member of the Tejas Club. A big fan of reggaeton and bachata music, he enjoys exercising, supporting the Houston Rockets and Astros, and winning fantasy football leagues in his free time.

.Ana Sofia is a member of the Texas Chi Omega sorority and Phi Gamma Nu business fraternity. In her free time, you can find her crocheting, watching Formula 1, exploring the Austin queso scene, and spending time with friends and family.
Jared Levy
Jared is from New York City, and is involved in his fraternity, Zeta Beta Tau. His interests include baseball, music, and geopolitics.
Jake Light | The Raine Group
Jake is a New York City native and an avid Yankees and Knicks fan. He is involved with the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. In his free time, you can find him spending time with friends, reading, and listening to all types of music.
Julia Rosenstein
.Julia is from New Jersey and is a member of the Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority. She is also on the Philanthropy Board for the Kendra Scott Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute. In her free time, Julia likes trying new restaurants, yoga, and traveling.
Akshaya Sakala | J.P. Morgan
.Akshaya loves being outdoors, exploring vintage stores, and trying new restaurants. She is involved with Texas Consulting and Texas Energy Capital.
Chase Stapleton | Guggenheim
Chase is involved with CASH Club Corp and the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. When he’s not busting a move on the dance floor, you can find him playing golf, going on a run, or belting Spanish ballads.
Charlotte Sterner | Rothschild & Co.
Charlotte is a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority and the Phi Gamma Nu Business Fraternity. She is also a member of an intramural soccer team on campus and volunteers with the Zavala After School Program. She enjoys trying new restaurants, cooking for her roommates, and going on walks with friends in her free time.

Ali is a new member of Texas Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority as well as Phi Gamma Nu business fraternity. She enjoys waterskiing, going to concerts, traveling with friends and family, and watching the Chicago Bears.
Tyler Karkowsky
Tyler is involved in his fraternity, Zeta Beta Tau. His interests include playing basketball, golf, and soccer in his free time. He also loves traveling, listening to country music, and playing cards with friends.
Grant Petersen
Grant is involved in Texas Fiji. His interests include playing soccer, football, and golf in his free time. He also loves traveling, working out, and going on runs.
Chesson Becker
Chesson is a new member of the Pi Phi sorority as well as Phi Gamma Nu Business Fraternity. She has owned a small jewelry business, Blitz Beads, for the past six years and also enjoys hanging out with her friends and family.
Chris Kienstra
Chris is involved with his fraternity, Delta Tau Delta. He is the CFO and founding member of Notifeye LLC, and enjoys playing basketball, dominating in Fantasy Football, and hanging out with his friends.
Grant Smith
Grant is from Houston and loves watching the Astros, Texans, Rockets, and Tottenham Hotspur. In his free time, he enjoys traveling around with his family and learning new languages. He also likes listening to classic rock and playing poker with his friends.
Jack Ferjentsik
Jack is involved with his fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He spends his time at the gym, with friends and family, and on the mountains whenever he can make it out to ski.
Austin Krischer
Austin is from Los Angeles and is a new member of Texas Delta Tau Delta. Some of his interests include surfing, skiing, and playing the saxophone.
Lily Veazey
Lily is a member of Texas Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and Texas French Society. In her free time, she loves reading, playing golf, and cooking for family and friends.
Bennett Hale
Bennett is from the Woodlands, Texas, and is a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. In his free time, he enjoys going low in golf, fly fishing on the coast, and spending time with friends and family.
Jesse Margolis
Jesse loves traveling, enjoys watching the Bengals on Sundays in the fall, and spending time outdoors playing sports with friends. You will also find him regularly at the gym, though he’s always skipping leg day.

Thank you for your interest in the Texas Equity Group. TEG recruits freshmen at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. We encourage applicants to attend our information sessions at the start of every semester to learn about the organization and meet some of our members.
